Last updated: September 29, 2024.

I work on strategy development and implementation, and communications on major societal issues, particularly those related to nature and the economy.

I do that through several different roles, including as the head of economic development for the for the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre, sometimes as a consultant, and often as a volunteer. Beyond ZEIC, I've been lucky to do this through a number of different roles over the course of my career that have operated at the local, national, and global levels.

Right now I am only able to selectively consider consulting work, but if you're interested to work with me, learn more here.

My Current Job

Right now I work at the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre, where I am the head of economic development and market transformation. ZEIC is a charitable capacity building organization with a $21.7 million endowment working to help businesses, governments, and citizens reach local and national climate goals by 2050.

Within ZEIC, I support some major initiatives and projects, such as:

  • A regional coalition to manage workforce development related to the energy transition.
  • Doing analysis in collaboration with financial institutions and regulators on BC's systemic risks related to climate change.
  • The Building to Electrification Coalition's efforts to build capacity in both in the construction sector and with local governments across British Columbia.
  • Developing economic models to do both ongoing monitoring and forecasting on the economic impacts related to the implementation of climate and energy policies in BC.

For my volunteer work, I am currently serving as a member of the Expert Task Force on Nature-Positive Cities, and on the Advisory Board of the University of Victoria Impact Investing Hub.
