Thanks for coming to my website! This space is a few different things, including:
- My digital garden, where I write and post things in various stages of completion and generally try to "work in public."
- A platform to connect with potential collaborators
- A portfolio of my current and past work.
Me in twenty seconds
I'm a strategist, researcher, and writer generally working at the intersection of economic development and climate action (right now at the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre), but I also facilitate, research, and support others working on many other issues.
I'm also someone deeply concerned with beauty, and a lover of art. I grew up exploring the mountains and forests and shores of British Columbia and feel a deep connection with, and love for, nature.
I was born and raised around the Salish Sea in Canada.

How I Write
This site is inspired by the practice of "digital gardening," a term beautifully explained by Maggie Appleton and envisioned by Mike Caulfield. In short, a digital garden is a wiki-like, richly-linked information space that grows (slowly) over time.
The essence of the gardening I want to do is to share various types of content in various stages of completion and definitiveness. Within the context of newsletters, this will mean more frequent and often smaller updates, but that I will bundle, interlink, and make as navigable as possible by theme and by type.
If you're only interested less regular updates, I will also create longer, though more sporadic, "dispatches, which will bundle together the above types of writing into something higher-level.
What I am working on now
Inspired by Derek Sivers, I have a "now" page for everything that I am working on.
